If you watch closely, when he puts the cards back, he turns them 180°, so next time he fans them out the diamonds side of that card is covered so the King of hearts will show up. The way he fans them we only see the side with the diamond. The cards have in fact different suits on both sides, so when he fans them out on the table in one direction, the card that Fry chose has the king of diamonds on the left side and the king of hearts on the right side. The part with the cards fanned out on the table is easy to do. You don't see Harrison picking the card in this video, probably to hide how it was forced.īut yeah, if Harrison watched them prepare, it's not really possible to hide the cards or add items with the cards already hidden in to the room. It's also very possible that it was just a single card force since Blaine knows his stuff. When using multiple forces there is probably other items nearby that contain the rest of the forced cards and the magician just has to pick where they ask Harrison to pick the object from.
It's harder to force a specific card so there's possibly multiple cards that are being forced and the magician knows which one was picked by eliminating the other forced cards and then removing the picked card before giving the deck to Harrison. It's not shown in the video how Harrison picked the card but the pick is forced somehow by the magician. The card is already in the fruit, probably in multiple fruits and possibly even all of them. It's somewhat simple to explain how this trick is done. I wonder, when you're singled out from a crowd, are you more susceptible to stooge-like behavior? Is there a way to perceive someone's aptness for stoogieness prior to singling them out from a crowd? Is this aptness for stoogieness measurable? How would you measure AfS? If AfS is measurable does this mean within the bounds of certain parameters, certain populations that display similar AfS will choose similar behaviors? Could we set up an experiment where we can accurately predict the behaviours of people with a specifically measured AfS and how would those predictions contrast for people with higher v lower AfS? How would the accuracy of our predictions vary across these groups? If we rate people's AfS on a scale from 1-5, how would we get the 1's to statistically be just as inclined to act as someone with an AfS of 5? Which specific parameters would have the greatest impact on behaviours?īoy that's a lot to unpack.
